Decked Builder App Reviews

Its really the only option for scanning cards into a collection. But they updated and now my last deck is gone. I also cant compare local and external file timestamps without overwriting the local copy. Dropbox integration is more confusing, too. What made you think it was a good idea to make things more difficult in an already awkward and unwieldy app?

I put all my decks on here!!! So good. Love the mana curve stats. Perfect for EDH.

I loved this app until one day I updated and Dropbox support was gone. None of my decks or my collection were visible in the app anymore. I tried using iCloud to sync everything but it is very buggy and inconsistent. The decked folks told me that due to drop box changes in their API that rather than update the decked app to support the new API the were dropping support. I used to recommend this app to friends but no longer.

I have this app and the desktop app. This guy really knows what hes doing. I use this all the time when Im on the can at the office. Keep up the good work!

Just spent 3.99 + 4.99 for the scanner feature for nothing. Brutal...

I dont see 3 of the new sets in this. This makes it rather difficult to update my collection.

Incredibly useful and user friendly. This is by far the best deck building software I have used, additionally it is the easiest most complete search engine for the entire magic universe. I heavily advise every mtg player to get this app or the iPad version because it is truly an invaluable tool.

Ive been using this app for years now and its still the best on the market for all that it does. If you need to look up cards, price your deck, view multiple venders, play test your deck or manage your collection. Just excellent in every way and worth every penny. I have two suggestions for improvements I would suggest: 1. Is to speed up ability to scan without having to select the set before hand. 2. Right now you can put cards in your sideboard or main deck. I would love a third option for other cards. Usually I just use the sideboard to quickly see my possibly alternatives, but if there was a way to add another category for non active cards so you dont have to search for them again, without crowding the interface, that would awesome. But its fine as is.

I hate this app I just tried to add six cards to my deck and three of them were nowhere to be found.

On the one hand its hard to find an app better for building decks than this one. On the other hand I find it lame that the developer charges more for some of the app functions (such as the card recognition software via the camera...charging $4.99!!!) than the actual app itself. Two stars for now. (Update) so I ended up buying the camera card recognition feature for $5. Little did I know, because nowhere does it mention, that you have to LOAD THE SET OF THE CARD YOU ARE TRYING TO LOOK UP before you can actually scan the card. What a joke!!!!!! I feel really ripped off. Not only do you have to choose which set for the module to work but you then have to download additional files FOR EACH SET. Wow, no words can describe my utter disappointment with this app and the amount of money I wasted here. Updating to 1 star until some of the features are fixed.

Ive loved this app ever since I got it. However, now that when I try to share a new list, the app tries to make it into a link and the link never works. Just let me send me list over text! Not everybody has a smart phone. Horrible change, and I have to give 2 stars until this is fixed. Revert it back to the way it was before and I will give 5 stars.

Still cant send embedded text like we used to. Getting "unexpected responses from server" again. Still cant use symbols in deck names like we used to. Defend against SQL injections on the database side rather than limit our options, please. Sorry, I have been using decked for the better part of a year and this breaks my heart. I have always expected the .dec file to be sent when sharing, or at least have the option, but instead the app sent a text list of your deck. Ok, fine. I can work that into my flow when sharing and posting my decks. With this update, though, decked builder now tries to upload the deck to a server so the user can then provide a link to that deck... Thereby driving traffic to the creators site. Alas, it fails. For some reason, the server is responding with an error: "Error uploading deck : Unexpected response from server" Not only does the new version take away functionality, but the sharing option that replaces it fails. Testing was clearly not done well, and that was just the first feature I tried... My five star rating is down to two until the embedded sharing functionality returns and we can use symbols again.

While some people complain about the problems (and it isnt perfect), this is still a solid app, and best in category. I frequently use this as a reference when on the road.

So I had the light version and decided to get the full version for the database. However I came to realize that while the camera and collections feature was included with the lite version, the supposed full version makes you pay to add them on. Shouldnt the full version have the same features as the lite plus some? Complete rip off.

So I love this app but I cant figure out if it is possible to delete a deck that has been built to make space. Is it possible? Thanks!

I love this app it helps me keep track of my ever growing collection of magic cards. I have bought the collections and scanner and use both and enjoy them. Although when using the scanner there are some sets that will boot me out of the app the moment I select them and they load. As of right now this only happens when I select 6th edition, 7th edition, and ice age. I dont know if it will do this with other sets or not, its really annoying and means any cards from those sets I have to put in manually. I payed the extra for the scanner and would like it to work for ALL sets instead of booting me from the app every time I select certain sets to scan. Please fix this problem!!!!! Other than this I love the app.

Very disappointed. Bought the Lite version, and hit Upgrade from in its help section mostly because of the ability to scan cards with the camera app rather than entering them. After paying for $3.99 for the regular version, I find the scanning functionality is not part of the full version and requires an ADDITIONAL $4.99?!?! If they called this out on the Lite version, it was certainly not very clear (and I would not have purchased this app). Feels like a bait and switch, and leaves me feeling a bit swindled. As for the rest of the app, its okay, but in my opinion overpriced.

This app is great! I recommend it to everyone not only can I keep track of what is in my deck/collection, it tell me the price of it all. The only thing I would love to see in the future is an option to download all the sets with card cam so I can scan my cards without waiting for the set to download. Other than that, there is not much more to add.

Weather its managing your collections, or finding statistical data on created decks, or the actual construction of your deck, gives you all the tools to be a local mastermind
